Connections Braves the Cold for The Special Olympics

Connections Peer Support staff members Bethany, Nina, and Gannon braved the cold Atlantic this past Sunday as they participated in The Special Olympics Penguin Plunge. Members Zee, Darin, Harrison, Erin and Autumn were there to cheer them on!

They were happy to also have the support of Chucky from Chucky's Fight, a nonprofit organization that helps support teenagers who deal with substance abuse. Huge thanks goes to our Warmline Supervisor, Bethany Leary, for organizing our fundraising page for the Plunge.

Connections was able to raise $2,199 for The Special Olympics!

Additionally, 2024 was the most attended Plunge to date, with over 700 participants and just about $879,000 raised!
